I just saw some tweet saying the Riders of Rohan in LOTR should’ve had women in it. When she was told that this would damage Eowyn’s character arc, she said the plot should’ve been changed & Eowyn should’ve had a scene where she led a charge of female warriors into battle.

As I have said for years, we are very lucky that leftwing terrorists tend to be terrible shots who don't know anything about guns and rightwing terrorists are incapable of doing anything without first telling the Feds on the internet.

One of my all-time favorite leftist gotchas is the argument that mass incarceration didn't work because crime hasn't gone down WHEN YOU COUNT THE CRIME THAT'S HAPPENING INSIDE PRISONS As if every normal human being in the country hasn't been happily accepting that trade-off. https:// x.com/xwanyex/status /xwanyex/status/2048769996658995520 …

we knew how to make bad code, cheap, and fast, before agentic coding emerged. why didn't we follow that path earlier? it bugs me. why now? we had the knowledge how to build bad code before.

I can name a lot more than 5. Let's start with 23 easy ones: 1. Designating a combatant a journalist automatically immunizes that combatant from attack. 2. A territory is occupied even if there is no presence whatsoever after a hostile armed force by virtue of being blockaded.

The US are simultaneously organizing a landing in Venezuela, an aerial attack from the sea on Iran, and a mission behind the Moon, while nations that aren't self-sufficient in toothpaste lecture us every day for 50 years about the decline of America.
